Fairfield Arts Center

The Fairfield Arts Center has officially closed. We appreciate our past supporters, sponsors and fellow artists who contributed and benefitted from our community arts organization. At the present time, there are no plans for re-opening this organization.

On behalf of the board of directors we thank you again for your interest and support.

Nomi Silverman--Giving Voice
Dec 02 - Jan 07

Fairfield Arts Center

In three separate print series, Nomi Silverman:  Giving Voice challenges the viewer to confront their own biases toward homosexuality and homelessness in her Matthew Shepard and Homeless sequences, and provokes an internal dialogue about the intoxication and often corrupting force of power in Shakespeare’s antagonistic anti-hero, Macbeth.  Silverman, with an intense love of rendering the human figure, uses her subject matter to express concerns about liberty, fear and hope while thoughtfully sifting through the shifting shadows of darker social concerns.

The exhibition runs through January 7, 2012.

December 2 - January 7

Dealing with socio-political issues that are disparate in subject matter, artist Nomi Silverman gives voice to both victims and aggressors in a powerful solo show that opens on December 2 at the Fairfield Arts Center.
